Both Chelsea and Liam Rosenior have officially moved on from their dreadful 107-day partnership behind them.The Blues were the first to turn the page on, appointing a high-profile manager, Xabi Alonso, in mid-May, and now the same can be said for the 41-year-old strategist, as he landed a new job at Paris FC.
The club from the French capital returned to Ligue 1 last season after a 46-year absence. They finished this historic campaign in the respectable 11th position and produced some remarkable results, including a league double over Monaco and eliminating Paris Saint-Germain from the Coupe de France.
Despite those excellent results, Paris FC and coach Antoine Kombouare decided to part ways, and Rosenior’s primary task will be to take things to another level and raise the bar even higher.

At first glance, the Englishman looks like an ideal solution, given that he managed Strasbourg for a season and a half before taking over at Chelsea. In his first year at Stade de la Meinau, Rosenior guided the club to seventh place in Ligue 1 and returned it to European competition (UEFA Conference League) after a two-decade absence. Now, he’s back where it all began. He made a name for himself in France, so it is only natural that he will look to put his disastrous spell at Stamford Bridge behind him on familiar ground.
