Patrick Matasi has insisted he is not ready to call time on his football career, as he is targeting a return to the Harambee Stars despite facing an uncertain future in competitive football.The 37-year-old goalkeeper, who is currently unattached after leaving Kakamega Homeboyz, says he remains fit and believes he can still compete at the highest level.##NAJAVA_MECA_9968855##“I have not retired. I’m still very active and very fit. I run, I can dive and I can make saves. I’m waiting for a national team recall, and I’m ready to play for Harambee Stars again. I shall rise again,” Matasi said in an interview with Wollap Central.Matasi’s hopes of returning to competitive football, however, appear uncertain, with the veteran goalkeeper currently without a club and having been out of the national team picture for an extended period.His career was also disrupted last year when the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) provisionally suspended him for 90 days following allegations of involvement in match manipulation.Hussein extends olive branch in bid to unlock FKF NEC stalemateThe suspension followed the circulation of videos on social media that appeared to show Matasi discussing a deal to influence the outcome of a match.
