There are times this season when Barcelona’s attacking force leaves opponents with no answers. Throughout the club’s illustrious history, the Catalan giants have boasted an abundance of world-class forwards, making it almost impossible to predict where the next threat would come from. Few attacking trios, however, struck fear into defences quite like Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar. Years have passed since those glorious days, but the magic of that era has not entirely disappeared.🚨| THIS DUO IS STILL COOKING! 🩷🔥 ▪️Lionel Messi — 𝟮 goals ▪️Luis Suárez — 𝟮 goals, 𝟭 assist 𝟰 goals and 𝟭 assist between them against DC United! 🥶 https://t.co/wKHumWRrSs— FÚTBOL HUB (@FutbolHub_) October 11, 2026 Age is catching up with them, and their playing days are gradually approaching their final chapter. Yet, as long as they remain on the pitch, Messi and Suarez are still capable of putting on a show. The former Barcelona teammates demonstrated exactly that once again, scoring twice each in Inter Miami’s commanding 4-0 victory over DC United. The opening half belonged to Suarez, although Messi played a significant role in setting the tone. During one of Inter Miami’s first promising attacks, the Argentine burst down the right flank before cutting inside and causing havoc in the opposition’s defence. The move eventually ended with Suarez finding the back of the net, assisted by German Berterame.EL PISTOLERO abre el partido temprano! 🇺🇾💥 https://t.co/CG2kJnVKm3— Inter Miami CF (@InterMiamiCF) October 10, 2026 The Mexican forward was the provider once again for Suarez’s second goal, delivering the ball for the Uruguayan to finish. Messi was heavily involved in the build-up, weaving his way through the opposition and coming agonisingly close to getting his own name on the scoresheet.BERTE ➡️ LUCHO. AGAINNN! 😎🤜🤛 https://t.co/D6ovLAHjEd— Inter Miami CF (@InterMiamiCF) October 11, 2026 Apparently, Messi’s emotional farewell to Argentina has not drained him of his energy. Perhaps closing that chapter of his career has even brought a sense of relief, allowing him to turn his full attention back to club football. Whatever the explanation, the Inter Miami captain returned for the second half determined to join the party himself. And who better to help him than his old friend Suarez? The Uruguayan was eager to return the favour after Messi’s influence in the opening period, and he did so in spectacular fashion. Showing that his trademark flair has not deserted him, Suarez left his marker behind, lifted the ball over his head and twisted past him inside the penalty area. It was a reminder that El Pistolero still has plenty of tricks up his sleeve! Suarez then delivered the ball into the six-yard box, where Messi arrived at precisely the right moment to turn it into the net.SUÁREZ SERVES. MESSI SCORES. 3-0! Vamossss 🚀⚽ https://t.co/l1vytiTWzY— Inter Miami CF (@InterMiamiCF) October 11, 2026 The Argentine was not finished there, either. Just after the hour mark, Rodrigo de Paul, his trusted partner from the national team, picked him out for another finish, completing Messi’s brace and putting the result beyond any doubt.GOOOL!
