The court further directed that the leave granted would operate as a stay of the season’s commencement, preserving Darajani Gogo’s status as an active NSL member until the substantive application is heard and determined. The court also directed the club to file and serve its substantive motion within seven days, while allowing both parties to pursue an amicable settlement. The matter will return to court on 17 November for confirmation of filing and service, and further directions. The development comes amid a dispute over the regulations governing promotion and relegation in the lower-tier leagues, with FKF relying on the 2025 rules while Darajani Gogo maintains that the 2019 regulations should apply.Darajani Gogo finished fourth from bottom last season, a position that would condemn the club to relegation under the 2025 regulations. However, applying the 2019 rules could give them an opportunity to retain their NSL status through the playoffs.
