Football Kenya Federation (FKF) President Hussein Mohammed has appealed to Chief Justice Martha Koome to intervene in the ongoing legal impasse that has delayed the start of the 2026-2027 Premier League season.The top-flight league failed to kick off last Saturday, 19 September, following a court order issued by the Murang’a High Court, adding to a growing list of legal challenges that have hindered the commencement of the new season.Download our Mozzart Sport App for more newsSpeaking to the press at a Nairobi hotel on Monday, 21 September, Mohammed called on the Judiciary to help resolve the disputes that have continued to disrupt the league.“I want to appeal to the Judiciary, and specifically Chief Justice Martha Koome, to help us resolve the matters in court. We have individuals who are hell-bent on abusing court processes to bring football to a standstill,” said Mohammed.The FKF chief maintained that the continued legal battles were affecting the smooth running of Kenyan football and called for a resolution to allow the league season to get underway.More to follow…
