They downed their tools and joined the community in witnessing the unveiling ceremony.For a moment, the turnout resembled that of a normal league match—an indication of the dedication of the club’s 12th man and the crucial role the supporters play for the 16-year-old club, which remains the only Premier League side in the county and the wider region.Beyond the impressive turnout, the club used the occasion to unveil its new home and away kits. The home kit features the traditional yellow, complemented by a touch of green, while the white away kit carries a touch of red.Speaking during the ceremony, Kakamega Homeboyz chairman Cleophas Shimanyula challenged the team to aim for both the Football Kenya Federation Premier League and Mozzart Bet Cup titles. Homeboyz will hope to land their maiden league crown in the campaign as well as reclaim the cup they last won in 2023 under the tutelage of coach Patrick Odhiambo. “These new colours represent our identity, ambition and hunger for success. We want our players to wear them with pride, fight for every point, and bring both Premier League and Cup trophies home. Backing Shimanyula's ambitions, Mozzart Bet Kenya Country Manager Sasa Krneta lauded Homeboyz for unveiling the new kits ahead of the new season and expressed confidence in the Edward Manoah-led technical bench to deliver a strong campaign. He said the combination of a committed technical team, talented players and passionate supporters gives the club a solid foundation to compete for honours.“We commend Homeboyz for unveiling these exciting new kits. Club captain Moses Mudavadi pledged to rally his teammates and delivering the elusive league gong. We pledge to build on the motivation and support to win titles in the new season," said the long-serving midfielder. His words were echoed by the returning coach Manoah, whose wealth of experience will be heavily relied on if the club is to wrestle the league title from the grip of Gor Mahia.
