AFC Leopards have completed the signing of Gambian striker Musa Ceesay from Falcons FC. The highly rated forward signed a two-year contract ahead of the 2026-2027 FKF Premier League season.
The acquisition is a significant boost for Ingwe as they continue rebuilding their squad following an impressive campaign that saw them narrowly miss out on the league title. Strengthening the attack had emerged as one of the club’s top priorities after the departures of: Christopher Koloti, Victor Omune and Maxwell Otieno.
Ceesay arrives in Nairobi with an impressive reputation, having established himself as one of the standout forwards in the Gambian top flight. Renowned for his physical presence, pace, intelligent movement and clinical finishing, the striker attracted interest from several clubs before AFC Leopards secured his signature.
His exploits at club level also earned him international recognition. Ceesay represented The Gambia during the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers and previously featured for the country’s Under-23 national team, cementing his status as one of the nation’s emerging attacking talents.

The 24-year-old is expected to add firepower to a Leopards side that struggled for consistency in front of goal at crucial stages last season. He will also provide much-needed competition and support for Ugandan striker Samuel Ssenyonjo, who is the only centre-forward left at the club. Last season, Ssenyonjo scored seven league goals, but three of those came in a single match, underlining Ingwe’s need for another reliable source of goals.
Ceesay becomes AFC Leopards’ seventh signing of the current transfer window after the arrivals of: Issa Emuria, Sebastian Wekesa, Tom Ikara, Kevin Otiala, Robinson Musungu and Ugandan midfielder Taddeo Lwanga.
Despite landing the Gambian international, Leopards are still expected to remain active in the market as they continue searching for another striker before the transfer window closes. The club is determined to build a squad capable of ending its long wait for the FKF Premier League title, and Ceesay’s arrival is viewed as another important step towards achieving that ambition.
