Kakamega Homeboyz have moved quickly to strengthen their attack, securing the signing of South Sudanese striker David Majak following Wednesday’s disappointing 2-0 friendly defeat to AFC Leopards at Bukhungu Stadium.Majak, who was recently on the books of Kariobangi Sharks, watched the encounter from the stands as Homeboyz struggled to break down an organised Leopards side and were punished for their lack of cutting edge.
A source close to the Kakamega-based club confirmed that the former Tusker forward has agreed to join Homeboyz, with the club viewing his arrival as an immediate boost to their attacking options ahead of the new season.The move represents a remarkable return for Majak, who was on Homeboyz’s radar seven years ago when he was fresh out of high school and beginning to attract attention after his impressive performances in the Chapa Dimba na Safaricom tournament with Kapenguria Heroes.
Homeboyz attempted to secure the youngster at the time, but Majak ultimately opted to join Tusker, where he went on to establish himself as one of the more promising young forwards in Kenyan football.

His time at Tusker earned him a move to Sweden, where he joined Kalmar FF in 2021 before spending time on loan at IFK Luleå. He later returned to Kenya and continued his career in the domestic game.Majak’s return to Homeboyz comes at an interesting point for the club as they continue to reshape their squad.
The striker has already had a taste of playing against his new employers this year.
