Infantino, a villa in Miami and 1.6 million

FIFA president Gianni Infantino has found himself at the centre of a new controversy. According to an investigation by the British newspaper The Times, the head of world football’s governing body allegedly received millions of euros in undeclared payments on top of his basic salary and contractual bonuses. These additional funds were reportedly intended to finance a luxurious lifestyle in Miami. Since 2016, FIFA has been committed to publishing details of the president’s and secretary general’s earnings on an annual basis. However, the investigation reveals that Infantino allegedly had two separate sources of income: one official, paid by the Switzerland-based federation and duly recorded in its annual report and financial accounts, and another undeclared source, paid by the entity responsible for organising the World Cup in the United States.##LINKED_NEWS_69498##For 2024, FIFA’s annual report showed that Infantino earned 4.274 million Swiss francs. However, a tax return filed with the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) by FWC2026 US Inc reveals that the official received an additional 1.6 million euros that year — an amount that world football’s governing body has never publicly disclosed.Part of that sum — 626,229 dollars, recorded as “other reportable compensation” — was allegedly intended to cover the rent on a waterfront villa in one of Miami Beach’s most sought-after neighbourhoods: the ultra-exclusive Sunset Islands, a gated residential community with security consisting of four artificial islands.##LINKED_NEWS_69447##When questioned by The Times, FIFA neither confirmed the allegations nor provided an explanation regarding the undeclared payments to its president. It also failed to explain why those funds were absent from its annual report. Meanwhile, sources cited by the British newspaper claim that Infantino received similar or even larger sums in 2025 and 2026.UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE – MATCHDAY 2Tuesday19.45: (2.50) Lens (3.45) Sporting (2.75)19.45: (3.50) Sabah (3.50) Slavia Praha (2.05)22.00: (1.20) Arsenal (6.75) Lille (14.0)22.00: (2.00) Atl.Madrid (4.00) Man.Utd.
