Through the firm's initiative christened New Jerseys for New Champions, which seeks to uplift grassroots clubs, the team received a full set of 23 uniforms and two footballs. Coach Collins Omondi, who has been tutoring the outfit since 2017, believes the support will go a long way in unearthing the next big thing in Kenyan football. "The club has been instrumental in unearthing talented players from Voi and its environs. We have always tapped and developed talent with little or no support from outside. We fund activities from our pockets. However, we thank Mozzart Bet for the donation. The gesture will motivate us to look for more talent and relieve us of the stress of kitting our players," said Omondi. Kisaka is not the sole marquee name to have passed through Gunners Youth FC.Omondi revealed that the duo of Michael Oduor and Clinton Otieno, who are currently attached to third-tier side Marafiki FC, also began their careers at the club. "We have lost count of the number of players who launched their careers here before progressing to competitive leagues. We hope to produce more," added Omondi, who played for the outfit before transitioning into coaching. Meanwhile, club skipper Kelvin Mwambewa thanked Mozzart Bet for the donation, pledging to build on the boost and win their forthcoming tournaments. "The kits and footballs will definitely inspire us to work harder even as we seek to win some of the tournaments lined up in December," said Mwambewa.
