It was a bittersweet day for Chelsea supporters.Xabi Alonso's team secured a 2-0 away win on Saturday afternoon at Hill Dickinson Stadium, but likely lost their starting goalkeeper, Emiliano Martinez, for an extended period. Pedro Neto was instrumental in the victory, scoring both second-half goals. He opened the scoring just 43 seconds after the break, capitalising on Morgan Rogers' impressive run and precise cross from the left wing.##TWITTER_

What a perfectly worked goal from Pedro Neto🔥! Chelsea have now scored three goals in the opening minute of a half in the Premier League this season.David Moyes' side sought an immediate response to avoid their first loss of the season, but managed only a few corner kicks, one of which led to a serious incident. Emiliano Martinez and Jarrad Branthwaite collided in the box, resulting in a significant injury to Martinez, who remained motionless for over ten minutes. Jordan Pickford crossed the field to check on Martinez while medical staff provided treatment for nearly 12 minutes. Martinez was then taken off on a stretcher, and Mike Penders made his Premier League debut.##TWITTER_

Emiliano Martínez received 10 minutes of medical treatment after colliding with an Everton player. 😐 The goalkeeper eventually had to be carried off on a stretcher in tears. 😢 Get well soon, Emi. 💙 https://t.co/6Aze2VRuIZ
— Pro_Foot HQ (@ProFoot_HQ) October 17, 2026
##Chelsea secured the win at the start of stoppage time.
