Neuer’s blunder for Bundesliga record

In past times, Borussia Monchengladbach was the team which troubled Bayern Munich most. But in recent history, the Foals were dethroned and its now Augsburg who is troubling the Bavarians. In the last 10 games between these clubs, Augsburg managed no less than three victories and squeezed a draw today. Vicent Kompany fielded the strongest team and even travelled to a close by Augsburg a day before the match in order to keep his men focused, but it didn’t help. After just seven seconds of the game, Manuel Neuer threw the focus and concentration out of the window and allowed the fastest goal in Bundesliga history. 89 minutes later Bayern managed to squeze a 2-2 draw, but after much drama, two Augsburg leads and three nullified goals due to offsides. Dortmund gave them a chance to take the leading position in Bundesliga with a 2-2 draw with Werder, but the Bavarians failed to do so, and saved a point.MANUEL NEUER WITH AN INCREDIBLE BLUNDER IN THE VERY FIRST SECONDS! https://t.co/IMZsr0zF0Q— Goals Xtra (@GoalsXtra) October 10, 2026 The start of the game resulted in this remarkable goal, and the Bundesliga history was made not by some fantastic shot, but rather a blunder from Manuel Neuer. Bayern had enough time (44 minutes and 52 seconds) to do something in the first half, but failed to do anything. They were pale and uncreative with only Michael Olise doing something, which was not enough. Augsburg nearly got the second in the 24th minute, when Bah missed to score from close range. The only chance for the visitors came in injury time when Kane hit the cross bar.🚨 Ismael Saibari equalizes score. Assist by Harry Kane. 🇩🇪 Augsburg 1-1 Bayern Münich https://t.co/tf5urAo1zY— Goals Xtra (@GoalsXtra) October 10, 2026 Bayern started the second half much better and equalized in the 51st minute, but Diaz’s beauty was nullified by VAR due to Stanišić, who was in offside position. However, Kane – Saibari combination four minutes later was clean and legal and Bayern finally equalized. What usually happens in those rare occasions when the Bavarians are trailing is that they managed to win easily, but not today. After nine minutes the goal was scored but for Augsburg. Brackelmann suddenly found himself with space to run into on the left, and he tried his luck from a difficult angle. His shot was a good one, and it forced Neuer to parry the shot into the path of the waiting Ribeiro, who fired it home for the second lead of the day. What followed were two Bayern goals, but both were rightfully denied due to offside positions, so when the equalizer finally came through Brown in the 80th minute, the visitors initially hesitated to celebrate, looking desperately at the side referee hoping he won’t raise the flag. What followed was a 10 minute siege of Augsburg’s goal, but without any success.BUNDESLIGA – MATCHDAY 5FridayDortmund – Werder 2-2 (0-0)/Svensson 80, Schlotterbeck 85 – Reis 88, Fullkrug 90+2/SaturdayAugsburg – Bayern 2-2 (0-0)/Fellhauer 1, Ribeiro 64 – Saibari 55, Brown 80/Hoffenheim – Hamburger 2-3 (1-1)/Bornauw 45+6, Conte 53 – Poulsen 12, Moffi 83, Muheim 90+4/Mainz – Leverkusen 3-4 (2-2)/Caci 33, 42, Hollerbach 90+2 – Andrich 5, Schick 9, Quansah 55, Diaby 65/Paderborn – Stuttgart 0-2 (0-1)/Chabot 25, Fuhrich 83/Union Berlin – Elversberg 1-0 (0-0)/Burcu 81/19.30: (1.60) RB Leipzig (4.30) Eintr.Frankfurt (5.20)Sunday16.30: (2.10) Koln (3.60) M' gladbach (3.35)18.30: (1.70) Freiburg (3.70) Schalke (5.10) ***odds are subject to change***
