Roma ready to knock on Endrick’s door again – to leave Madrid or not?

Endrick was supposed to be the next Brazilian superstar. He had dazzled at Palmeiras, convinced Real Madrid to pay €74.5 million for a teenager and arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu with enormous expectations. Now, however, it is starting to feel like deja vu.Just like last season, Endrick is struggling to find a place in Real Madrid's plans, and AS Roma are once again ready to offer him an escape route.##LINKED_NEWS_67977##Last season, Lyon provided the answer. The 20-year-old moved to France on loan and exploded into life, scoring eight goals and providing five assists in 21 Ligue 1 appearances. His performances restored the excitement around the Brazilian, earned him a place in the World Cup picture and convinced Los Blancos that he was ready to return. But this season? Just four minutes in La Liga, against Elche.Endrick actually came close to joining Roma during the previous transfer window, but Jose Mourinho blocked the move at the last moment. The Brazilian wanted to stay, fight for his place and prove that he could become a star at the Bernabeu. Instead, he has once again found himself waiting.##EDITORS_CHOICE##Kylian Mbappe is virtually untouchable, Vinicius Junior remains ahead of him and Carlos Espejo has also jumped ahead in the rotation after scoring decisive late goals against Espanyol and Elche.Endrick's own preparation was disrupted by a hamstring injury, but even after returning to fitness, opportunities have remained scarce. The international break offered some encouragement. Carlo Ancelotti gave him 110 minutes across Brazil's two matches in Australia, and Endrick impressed, having a goal ruled out in the first game before providing an assist in the second.##LINKED_NEWS_64923##However, now comes another decision.According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma are preparing a fresh offensive for Endrick ahead of the January transfer window. The youngster still wants to succeed at Real Madrid. The problem is that time is moving on while his minutes are not.The example of Nico Paz, who left Real and subsequently exploded at Como, is another reminder of what regular football can do for a young player's development.19.00: (1.38) Iceland (4.40) Bulgaria (7.75)Endrick is therefore facing the same crossroads as 12 months ago: stay at Real Madrid and wait for opportunities, or head to Rome and finally become a protagonist rather than a spectator. The Giallorossi, it seems, are ready to ask the question again.
