Harambee Stars midfielder William Lenkupae has completed a move to United States-based FC Tulsa, joining the USL Championship outfit for the remainder of the 2026 season.FC Tulsa announced the arrival of the Kenyan international from Finnish side Vaasan Palloseura (VPS), subject to league and federation approval.“FC Tulsa announced today that it has signed midfielder William Wilson for the rest of the 2026 season, pending league and federation approval,” the club announced.The 24-year-old midfielder is expected to be available for his debut when Tulsa travel to face New Mexico United on Saturday, August 15."He will be available for selection on Saturday, August 15 against New Mexico United." the club further disclosed. Welcoming the Kenyan to Tulsa, the club's Sporting Director and General Manager Caleb Sewell described Lenkupae as a versatile and energetic midfielder who can contribute in several positions.“We’re delighted to welcome Will and his fiancée to Tulsa. Will is an aggressive two-way player, likes to play forward quickly, has a great engine and can play in different positions for us,” Sewell said.“He has played on some big stages, and we look forward to Will helping us with our objectives towards the end of the season.”Lenkupae arrives in the United States after helping VPS enjoy a strong campaign in Finland, where the side finished fourth. His move marks another step in a career that has already taken him across three footballing environments.Born in Melbourne, Australia, Lenkupae previously featured for Melbourne Victory and Central Coast Mariners, winning the AFC Cup with the latter in 2024. Central Coast became the first Australian club to win the competition after beating Lebanon's Al-Ahed 1-0 in the final.Despite holding Australian, British and Kenyan citizenship, Lenkupae opted to represent Kenya internationally.
