Kayole Starlets coach on how Slum Derby bragging rights against Mathare United eluded them

Kayole Starlets head coach George Kimani has explained how his team let a lead slip from their hands, denying them bragging rights in the Slum Derby against Mathare United Women.The two teams met in the second FKF Women Premier League (WPL) Slum Derby of the season on Sunday, 4 October, at Police Sacco Stadium, with the match ending in a 1-1 draw.Download our Mozzart Sport App for more newsAfter a goalless first half, Kayole Starlets took the lead in the 56th minute through Eunice ‘Bobby’ Nabwoha. However, substitute Sharlin Otieno forced the two teams to share the points after leveling matters in the 81st minute. ##NAJAVA_MECA_9280##Speaking to the press after the match, Kimani explained what prevented his team from walking away with all three points. “We had raided them but also lost concentration in key moments of the game that cost us. We really wanted to win because they had caused us problems and confusion with the venue, but that was not meant to be.We are still learning and therefore will not be harsh on them.
